The collection contains both official and personal papers including biographical materials, church records, clippings, correspondence, diaries, diplomas, minutes, pamphlets, posters, reports, and sermons. Official papers document the career of Dr. Woolley including his time as a student at Howard College, Birmingham, Alabama (now Samford University) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. Materials also deal with his positions as Director of the Extension Division, Howard College and Secretary of the Alabama State Baptist Student Union. Other materials include church records and sermons related to his pastorates at First Baptist Church, Palatka, Florida, Waddy Baptist Church, Waddy, Kentucky, and Zion Baptist Church, Henderson County, Kentucky. Personal papers are comprised mostly of correspondence between Dr. Woolley and his family.
